CALL FOR PROPOSALS : 2021 Pilot Trials Funding Competition

MONTREAL, August 9, 2021 – Today, CanVECTOR launched its 2021 Pilot TrialsFunding Competition with a submission deadline of Monday, October 4, 2021. The purpose of this funding opportunity is to build research capacity related to VTE and to enable CanVECTOR scientists to collect pilot data that will inform the conduct of larger multicentre clinical trials and increase the ability to attract external peer-reviewed funding.

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) recently announced the results of their Fall 2020 Project Grant competition, and the network is thrilled to announce that four CanVECTOR-led thrombosis studies were awarded project funding in this competition for a total of $2.78 million (CAD).

Fall 2020 Research Fellowship Competition Awards Announced

CanVECTOR has awarded two trainees with Research Fellowship Awards in the Fall 2020 Research Training Awards competition. A total of $90,000 (CAD) in funding was granted in this competition to support research training in venous thromboembolism (VTE) at Canadian centres.
