CanVECTOR is organized into six platforms that are the pillars of the network. The network aims to generate new knowledge through clinical trials, translational and basic science research, and quality of care and effectiveness research to better understand the underlying pathology of thrombosis and improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of venous thromboembolism (VTE).
The network supports scientific research by enhancing our world-class research capacity through a unique training program for young investigators; training of both researchers and patients in patient engagement and partnership in research; and coordinated knowledge translation activities to ensure that the results of our research reach various knowledge users.
