Terri Schnurr, who devoted over two decades to research and clinical care at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton, is deeply missed for her commitment and valuable contributions to research.
About Kailee Morrison
Kailee moved to the Niagara region in 2022 having recently graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) degree. She instantly found herself seeking additional education opportunities, and soon after enrolled in the University of Western Ontario’s Clinical Trials Management diploma program with the hopes of venturing into the world of clinical research. While enrolled in the program, she came across a Thrombosis Research Coordinator posting at St. Catharines Hospital and thought she would take a chance and apply, and despite her limited experience in the field thus, she was selected for the position. Since then, she has grown immensely as a research coordinator thanks to the ongoing support and learning opportunities provided by the Niagara Health research program and staff.
Receiving the CanVECTOR 2023 Clinical Research Coordinator of the Year Award was incredibly rewarding, especially as an early career coordinator. She looks forward to continuing a meaningful career in clinical research in the Niagara region and helping to make research more accessible in the community.
