CanVECTOR aims to generate new knowledge through clinical trials, translational research, and quality of care and effectiveness research to discover causes and improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of VTE. We aim to conduct trials efficiently with a minimum of infrastructure overlap and reduced duplication of tasks and services by developing shared platforms and performing pilot trials to increase our ability to secure large-scale funding for collaborative multicentre trials.

CanVECTOR has facilitated the development of high impact research through direct funding support of pilot trials, trainees, and trainee projects, through our clinical investigators' group (CIG), and though capacity development.
