Fall 2022 Research Training Awards (Fellowships) Announced

MONTREAL, February 27, 2023 – CanVECTOR's Training, Mentoring, and Early Career Development platform held its Fall 2022 Research Training (Fellowship) Awards competition, and following an independent review process, the platform is pleased to announce that Dr. Amye Harrigan, Dalhousie University, has been awarded a CanVECTOR Fellowship Award.

Amye Harrigan, MD

  • Institution: Dalhousie University | University of Ottawa
  • Award: CanVECTOR Fellowship
  • Supervisor: Dr. Sudeep Shivakumar and Dr. Aurélien Delluc
  • Project Title: Cost-effectiveness analysis of secondary prophylaxis with direct oral anticoagulant or low molecular weight heparin versus no prophylaxis in patients with cancer-associated venous thromboembolism.

Dr. Harrigan is currently a fifth year Hematology resident at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Dalhousie University. Dr. Harrigan is looking forward to continuing her training at the University of Ottawa in the Adult Thrombosis Medicine fellowship program.
