CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: Fall 2021 Research Training Awards (Fellowship) Competition

MONTREAL, September 22, 2021 – CanVECTOR is now welcoming applications for the Network's Fall 2021 Research Training Awards (Fellowship) Competition with a submission deadline of November 8, 2021. The purpose of the Research Training Awards is to provide financial support for highly qualified, promising graduate students or fellows to allow them to pursue research training in thromboembolism at a Canadian Centre.

CanVECTOR offers two types of research training awards to the medical and science community: Research Fellowships, geared towards MDs aiming to become clinician scientists and investigators in venous thromboembolism (VTE), and Graduate Studentships, geared towards graduate students enrolled in MSc and PhD programs with an interest in conducting VTE-focused research developing VTE-related methodology expertise.

This competition is intended for Research Fellowships only; the next Studentship Competition will be held in Spring 2022.

Quick Facts

  • Eligible candidates are MDs that aim to become clinician scientists or clinician investigators in venous thromboembolism (VTE). 
  • Applicants may receive a maximum of $50,000 (CAD).
  • Granted for 1-year.
  • The deadline to submit applications is Monday, November 8, 2021.
