CanVECTOR Annual Conference Postponed to Spring 2021; New Virtual Series in Discussion for October 2020

06-16-2020

MONTREAL, June 16, 2020 – The Canadian Venous Thromboembolism Research Network (CanVECTOR) had planned to host the 2020 Annual Conference, in partnership with Thrombosis Canada, from October 22 to 24 at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto, Ontario. The conference is now scheduled on April 8 to 10 in the same location.

The conference will be organized into three days:

  • Thursday, April 8th, 2021 – CanVECTOR pre-Conference meetings
  • Friday, April 9th, 2021 – CanVECTOR Annual Conference
  • Saturday, April 10th, 2021 – Thrombosis Canada Annual Conference

The decision to postpone the conference has been taken to minimize health risks and costs as a result of the uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic.

CanVECTOR continues to engage all partners and work with the Conference Planning Committee to develop a scientific program that highlights world-class thrombosis research and the accomplishments of the network and its trainee members.

In addition to rescheduling the Annual Conference to Spring 2021, the network is in the initial stages of planning a virtual conference in October 2020 consisting of several engaging thrombosis-related sessions, workshops, and more.

More information will be published as details are finalized.
