To kick off the March is DVT Awareness Month campaign for 2016, the Centre of Excellence in Thrombosis and Anticoagulation Care (CETAC) JGH ClotBusters team (based in Montreal, QC) hosted an information kiosk, providing patients, visitors and health professionals with information materials and giveaways.
The JGH ClotBusters team have held various types of events to raise awareness for DVT over the last 10 years, including CIHR Café Scientifiques and exercise events for the public, quiz games for trainees, and multiple talks for healthcare professionals. The information kiosk is an opportunity to speak to medical experts in thrombosis care and management, and learn about venous thromboembolic disorders. There is also the chance to be greeted by SuperClotBuster Man and play Plinko for a chance to win prizes.
With record-breaking attendance at the information kiosk on March 8, 2016, the JGH ClotBusters had another successful DVT Awareness campaign.
