Dr. Tagalakis is a clinician-epidemiologist in the Division of Internal Medicine and Centre for Clinical Epidemiology and Community Studies at the Lady Davis Institute (JGH) in Montreal. She is appointed Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, McGill University. Her main clinical interest is in the management of venous thrombosis in special populations including cancer patients and pregnant women.
Dr. Tagalakis’ principal research interests focus primarily on etiologic mechanisms for VTE and VTE outcomes primarily in cancer patients. She has expertise in research methodology including pharmacoepidemiology pertaining to thrombosis-related analyses of large administrative databases. She has been awarded numerous peer-reviewed research grants from national and provincial funding agencies, and has published extensively in the field of venous thrombosis.
