Dennis Christopher, PhD
Patient Partner

After receiving a Doctorate in Formal Logic and the Philosophy of Science from the University of Toronto, Dennis spent 25 years programming iOS and Mac OS X devices, creating several clinical applications. He is now semi-retired and focusing on machine learning applications in medicine. He is currently the data analyst on a project investigating IC/ES data towards finding a better predictor of Pulmonary Embolism events.

He is active as a patient partner in several projects and worked as a reviewer in the recently completed Covid-19 Rapid Response funding competition.

In 2011, a debilitating condition turned out to be caused by a Venous Thromboembolism. Dennis was fortunate to have it diagnosed correctly, after several mis-fires. This left a lasting impression of the difficulty of this diagnosis and a motivation to assist in related research.
