NATIONAL BLOOD CLOT ALLIANCE
Leslie Lake is the Volunteer President of the National Blood Clot Alliance (NBCA). She joined the Board of Directors in December 2018 after suffering a pulmonary embolism. Struck by the lack of available patient information, she found her way to the NBCA which gave her the tools necessary to get her life back on track after her PE. Leslie quickly realized that in addition to physical issues, most patients suffered from some form of PTSD post their blood clot event. Her PTSD was the catalyst for the highly successful CLUES survey developed by the NBCA in 2021.
In June of 2019 Leslie became the NBCA Board Chair. She served in that capacity until she became the Volunteer President of the organization in 2021. Leslie is a frequent conference speaker on VTE as the patient voice and is a firm believer in shared decision making between patients and their healthcare providers. Leslie is also the architect of various NBCA programs such as its Sports & Wellness Institute, PEP Talk, Thrombassadors and the Council of Emerging Researchers in Thrombosis.

Leslie Lake is the Co-Founder of Invus Financial Advisors (IFA) a boutique investment advisory firm based in NYC. She is responsible for managing approximately $2 billion in a long/short equity strategy. Leslie has managed assets in this way under the Invus Group umbrella since 1999. She is a frequent speaker regarding hedge fund investing which also includes women in finance.
Leslie holds a BA in Economics from Simmons University.
